The company supports the implementation of projects, which help the community, especially towards health, feeding, education, and preparation to the labor market for wanting children and teenagers.
This project is totally inserted in the first Goal of the Millennium, and it also complies with what is determined by the World Health Organization.
Since May, 2004, this project has been developed aiming at providing balanced feeding to 80 children from neighborhoods nearby the manufacturing units in Caxias do Sul having unemployed parents, or with problems such as: migration, health, etc...
The company in a partnership with Schools and Community Presidents - since they are the ones to know each family's reality. These are the ones responsible for selecting the children. The company daily makes transportation available to pick them up at strategic points and, after lunch, leaves them home, or at school.
Besides feeding, there is a follow-up with representative entities through meetings so that we may follow up their development regarding integration and citizenship, as well as follow up their development in learning. |
